Some find them too complicated, and single-handed it is FAR worse than patting your head and rubbing you tummy. There is too much going on at once, particularly on the hoist or jibe.
But others feel that flying a spinnaker is what defines sailing. I agree. It can take a light wind, practically no-wind motor day and make it very pleasant. In stronger winds, well, there is that old saw about the tiger's tail. Your call
