Precision makes a very good sailing boat. I would stay away from the Hunter 17, even though I sail a Hunter, the 17 is the plastic boat, and repairs are very difficult to do and very expensive. The boat sails really good, but I would not buy one for that reason. The Hunter forums have gone into great lengths of peoples failure to repair. With that said, there are a number of good daysailors on the market. I sailed a 15' Mutineer for almost 20 years with great success. I sailed on lakes and bays mostly, but some deep water also in Puget Sound. ODay made a number of day sailers as well as Holder also. You can't go wrong with the Precision 15 or 185, Get the P-185 if you want some horsepower, and have the money
