Met up with Paul Anderson of Canada today. We went to Bradenton and I think he bought a 2006 P-23 with trailer. Two days of polish and a new rub rail and it will look like he just picked up a new boat from the dealer. He also may have bought a house on a canal in Charlotte Harbor. His wife will be racing the new boat. Paul has to crew for someone else. Jerry Carpenter sent him to us when he asked about where to sail in Florida. Sent my motor to the shop because of ethonal two weeks ago. I could not get it cleaned out. Got it back and put it on the boat without trying it. You know how the rest of the story goes and what I had to listen to in Cedar Key!!!!! Did I mention that the battery was dead for the trolling motor?? I wasn't gonna need it. Just got the motor back from the shop. Why was I gonna need a battery? With skill and dareing and lots of dum luck I made it to the outside ramp. The inside ramp I was supposed to go to had a 8' high bridge between it and me with a marina to navagate. 3 modes of propulsion! Could I use one??? NNOOOOOO. Any way we made it. Ever see a County Sheriff directing traffic at a boat ramp. They had a big fishing tornement that wekend also.
