Man... sitting on the hook here in Fernandez Bay by Cat Island, Bahamas. This place is beautiful... watched the sun set over the horizon and the moon rise over the harbor tonight. There's a cool, albeit moist, breeze coming through. We're surrounded by new friends - 4 other kid boats - that we'll be working our way back to the US with over the next few weeks.
Anyway, we're tentatively planning on being there for the Precision Rendezvous. No guarantees, and we won't be able to make it through the narrows with y'all (I'm not taking Pelican through that channel), but we'll do our best to be at St. Michael's and also at Rock Hall.
Can someone (one person) call the marina in Rock Hall and also whatever the cheapest marina with a dock or mooring balls in St. Michaels is and find out if they can support a 40' boat with a 6' draft (beam is about 13' if they care)? It's tough for us to do the research from the Bahamas. This is the first Internet I've had for a week and it's pretty flaky.
