I have had a P-28 for 3 years. Previous we had a O'Day 272. Our P-28 has been used in northern Minn. and Wis. lakes. It is a very comforable boat and sails well in light air and best if not healed more than 15 to 20 degrees. As with any boat you should get a survey done before purchase. Mine has had two hollow spots on the hull and one on the deck which had to be repaired. The repair man said it was from the fiberglass not applied properly at the time of construction. They were not blisters with water getting inside but hollow spots. Repair was not expensive but needed to be done before they cracked and let water in between the gell coat and the fiberglass. We use our P-28 for overnighters and long week-ends. We have trailored to Lake Mich. for a week but the P28 is alittle large to travel on land. One item which if your taking down the mast each year you might want to change the mast step. Its cast aluminum and breaks easily. The P-28 serves our purpose well and I have not regrets on our purchase. If you have any questions please contact me.
