Here's how I will use the next boat: It must be trailerable but not a trailer sailor. I drive a small car and will rent a truck to pull the boat to a marina for 3 months, I'll trailer it just a few times a year, maybe to a few different marinas, I have a Daysailer 1 for daysailing.
I need some room inside, yet it I don't want a slow tank. I'll be spending weekends on the boat while in the marina and some 2-3 week cruises in the future.
I also want something that can handle some weather.
A keel/centerboard works well in the shallow Florida waters and ramps.
I like the sailing characteristics of the Precision 23 but want something a little more comfortable for cruising and something that can handle a little more sailing conditions.
My first pick right now is an O'day 26, second is an O'day 25. They can take some pounding, sail well, and have 5'9" headroom with a nice layout inside. However, I'd like some ideas from the group on other boats that might be good for my use.
TIA,
John
