Leaked from the forward hatch, both side windows, and the stern light. I never had a problem with leaking or scraping on the mast step?? I'm not sure, but I think the mat step is just screwed on since you want the step to break away cleanly. I never worried about it since I stored the boat inside. I keep my Hunter outside, and it leaks a little also. I made a cover, that covers the hatches and companionway which keeps out most of the water. My de-humidifier dries out the rest so I no longer worry about it.
