P23 Asymmertical Q

Before I step the mast on my '07 P23 this season, I want to install a mast-head block suitable for an asymmetrical spinnaker, and to run a halyard through it. Then, if I decide to add an AS this year, I will not have to drop the mast. Can anyone advise on what block to install; where to install it on the mast relative to the headsail; and the dimensions of the halyard (diameter and length)?
