First, if you are putting a block up on the mast you are going to have to run a halyard up there all summer long. That Halyard is expensive for 65 feet of line, which will mildew and rot in the sun. It takes me a little longer, but when I put my boat away, I pull a cheap nylon line through the blocks and leave the good line protected, with only the cheap stuff in the weather. Second, the normal place for a spinnaker block is half way between the headstay tang and the masthead. Whatever you choose, make the sail fit your new size.
