(Jack, H23.5, SecondSojourn,Clermont Fl.) I agree with Jack about finding a junk line to hang up there when the spinnaker is not in use. I'd put it at the masthead because wind is better up higher, separation from the jib (and furler?) is better, you're bolting through mast and fitting, not just mast, and the backstay is up there.
