In Response To: Welding complete, just cleanning up the welds (nm) (pic) (Rob M, P-21, Minuet building.)

The larger U shaped bracket goes toward the front. The two little flat pieces attach to the rear bracket and allow the spring to flex.

Next will be assembly of this and blocking up the frame.

There will be 3 full size cross bars and one short one that will butt the 3" square tube for the tongue.

The three cross bars will be heated in the center and bent about 3" down. That is similar to my P-21 trailer. It will place the boat a bit closer to the ground.

Axle clearance determines how much bend can be put in the cross bars. Ya don't want the boat keel to hit the axle if the springs bottom out on a bump.

But that all is for another day.
