Sailed for the last time of the season today back at Lake Geneva, WI. Winds were supposed to be 20-30 mph and I don't think we had winds over 10! Had my 10 year old niece and a first time sailor and my sister who has been with a number of times, but usually in light winds.
Winds were too light to make it very exciting and then after making it mostly down the lake and turned to come back, winds pretty much died. Spent most of my last hour on the water motoring back.
I am just going to count today as a bonus day on the water. November 4 was my old last day record and it's now 11/7! Temp was upper 60s and I wore shorts and a long sleeve t shirt until the sun got lower.
On Sunday, I plan on emptying the boat, dry out the bilge, power wash it and then put it in storage for the next six months. Wish I could just hibernate for the next six months then I could get out of all the snow shoveling headed our way
