Steve, I sent a jib, 150, and my main in to sailcare, they did some repairs and cleaned them for about $450, they are the original sails and were not stretched too bad. I agree with what Bob said to a point. But, the sails do look good and seem to have a little more stffness to them. If you are not going to race much and are on a budget, I would send them to sailcare. If you are a real serious racer, then save your money and buy new sails. Although sometimes I think new sails don't make that much difference, unless your sails are really trash. It's more mental then anything. I raced my new 6.9 with the original sails this past Weds. at our club and still kicked some butt. So I guess what I"m saying is, if you have an extra $2000 laying around and your sails are really trash, buy new sails. I just got back into sailing after a 3 year absence. I raced for about 20 years, I raced in the first S2 National regatta with my 6.7 back in the early eighties and also raced a 7.9 for years. The only sail that I need now is a 135 % jib. I find that to be a good all around sail when racing here in the Midwest. Any way, just my two cents.
