I sent my main sail and jib to sail care the second year I bought my boat. They looked good. I also stuffed the sails of my first boat in the washing machine then ironed them (lightly starched of course) They looked good too. After I bought new sails I undertand the mysterious slot. You can not understand the slot with bagged out sails.
