There should be a thin plastic washer on each side of the blade inside the aluminum cheeks. Just watch out for those. Otherwise, it's straightforward and no surprises.

Our rudders were made similar to our lifting keels: Two symmetrical half-shells of FG. A slurry of epoxy resin and glass microbeads is poured in, the shells are taped together, and then after the epoxy is set, the tape is removed. That's the reason there's a centerline joint.
