I doubt that either the 7.9 or 6.9 is "self-righting." Each one has a note in the PHRF ratings that many YCs require that its LK must be sailed locked down. (The 6.7 has no such note.) The 6.7 (perhaps unlike the 7.9 and 6.9?) has a MORC rating which will have some data on righting ability. I think MORC requires a righting measure with the LK up. A few years ago, I tried contacting MORC (e-mail) about this but didn't get an answer, got distracted, and didn't persist and follow through with it. You might try again. Please let us know what you find out.
