Frank, I have been told that the 6.9 and the 6.7 would self right with the keel up about half way. I have asked a few phrf experts on this keel issue. They say that phrf refers to the class rule. If the class rule says you can raise your keel in class racing, then thats what they go by. I do think that the 7.9 class now says you can not raise the keel. The reason that the 6.7 and 6.9 has the phrf number that it does, you can raise the keel down wind and that does make the boat faster, although it can get a little wild if the wind is blowing hard. Anyway, just my 2 cents.
