6.9 Mast Climbing

I have a burned out anchor light and don't want to haul the boat/unstep the mast to replace it. Has anyone ever tried to go up the mast of a waterborne 6.9, either on a bosun chair or using an extension ladder? Can the rigging take the load? Steve
