Martin noaa said winds were 10-15, gust to 25. It was a gust that lasted about 15 min. I had never seen that kind of speed before. Up wind that day, only main, it was 5.6-6 max but I had to keep pinching to keep the heel to around 20 Deg. I find over 25 deg heel I start to slow down. It realy digs in hard as the heel goes over 25. With the main reefed and the genny at full 155 heel over 20 I have no pressure on tiller and as heel increases form 20, because of easing the main the helm goes lee and requies reefing the genny or more weight. I do a lot of sailing alone and do not use the 155 full much because of this condition, only in light air. Quit a rush at 5 mph. PS I set the keel at 3' up wind because of sand bars and low lake and 2' down wind.
