Hi Bob and Jim, Bob thanks for the mast offer. If I need to borrow a mast, I would certainly expect to be responsible to return it in the same condition I receive it or to replace or repair it. I am still hopeful to have my own mast but time is getting short and I can't know if it will arrive in time to do the machining and move all the fittings. I will keep in touch and will be happy to sign a statement of responsibility. My boat will be insured by a policy that does cover racing damage. Jim I will appreciate all the help I can get to put the mast up. Bob, as I am so far south, it probably will make more sense to meet at Ky Lake. Bob, I agree entirely with your sentiments about mast makers. Though the Rig Rite section is supposed to be the same one used by S2, do we really know that short of weighing each spar? Merely changing the material or diameter of the halyards can influence heeling angle. It is far more important that we get boats out competing. In almost all cases it will be the skills of the crews that determine any racing outcome. Thanks again, Ron
