I would like to clear one thing up and then state my aponion on mast changes. I have a fried who is a 7.9 class member and he said that the class did have dies made and produced thier own masts. He thought that the class had made about 20 masts and the class association provides them to their members. I do not thing this is something we shoud consider as there are many more 7.9's then our boats and they have an establised one design class. Now for my 2 cents... I think we should keep the boats as stock as possible where the mast is issue. I agree with Martin Radloff that other boats probablyuse the same mast sections as ours and should be available.
