Tape solvent

I purchased a used spinnaker and I need to change the sail numbers. The existing numbers are made of nylon ripstop tape and are very tenacious. Does anyone have any suggestions for a tape remover/solvent that will work on rip stop sail numbers but will leave the nylon spinnaker intact? I haven't tried anything at this point. Thanks.
