Bob - Have you (or anybody?) sailed on the IdaSailor blades yet? My rudder, which has already endured major repairs by me, has developed enough slop to really detract from the sailing. As a result, I'm starting to wonder whether to go for another round of repair work or just off-season replacement since the Ida blades promise to be more economical than our previous class solution. But of course would like to hear how the first examples are working out in the water if there's some experience yet...
Also, in our research, have you been in touch with Philsfoils? http://www.philsfoils.com/home.html Seems like he is a similar operation to Idasailor but doing foam/glass/wood materials instead... His prices seem very reasonable for those materials, which I think comes from using computer milling to cut the blanks, rather than hand-forming shells in a mold like the OEM process.
