Original factory aluminum pin dimensions are 1" diameter by 5" long. Screw holes are 3/4" from pin ends. Original screws are 2.5" long SS #12 flat head sheet metal.
A photo on the site shows a fix which appears to have two SS plates mounted on the bottom of the hull across the ends of the pin. Each plate is held in place with two screws or bolts. This is my interpretation of the photo. This is what I plan to do just to make sure I don't end up with the centerboard acting as a trolling lure. Since I have the sole open to seal the ballast tank, I can add additional structure fore and aft of the existing pin mounting "humps" to reinforce the hull where the plate mounting bolts enter the ballast chamber.
