In Response To: Almost hooked - what about jibs? (Marc)

Marc,

I have two jibs, a tall mast rig (30 ft vs 27 ft), and a CDI furler (you may have a Harkin since you have an early hull number).

The stock Jib was 110%; my other is about a 160% (cut down from a J24 by the PO).

I routinely use the large jib, it helps in the light air I get lake sailing. I sewed on a sacrificial strip so I could leave it on the furler.

I have genoa tracks and winches, but this jib is really too large for this rig so I run the sheet through a snatch block attached to a pennant run from the rear cleat.

Seth
