Not sure this will work: inspected and found some wood decay at the attachment points. Elected to simply 'shift' the beds two (2) inches forward and then re-mount (in a hurry, what can I say?).
Anyway, mounting a 6" block of 2x6 under the rear mounts (i.e. existing bed). Effectively, this will, in theory, provide me with at least an additional inch clearance between the CB and the axle (I can see where she's hit many times in the past).
However, I seem to recall a couple years back that when I tried to RAISE the rear of the bunks, that the boat didn't 'sit' to well on the trailor, and that I had better luck when the beds were level, or even higher at the front.
Now, with this extra 1.5" (2x6) plate, the rear will be higher.
Comments, suggestions, anyone done this, problems, etc??
