Posted By: Todd-2023C-SFBay Date: 7/18/07 3:01p.m. Report: outside forum guidelines There has been a lot of discussion on how to fix the water ballast issue but little on actually how to or the best way to detect the problem. I thought it would be useful to compile a list of all the symptoms for clarification. I am also interested to hear how serious were the symptoms/failures? Was it dismasting? Putting your foot through the floor? Boat sinking? In everything I have read they seem to be more benign such as squishy floor but I would like some good poll results to back that up. So please respond with how you first noticed/detected your ballast tank issue? Thanks. Todd
