but worried that I might not get the 'flexing' in the beds. That is, screwing the 2 boards together... will they actually 'flex' correctly as they flare out to the sides (sweep along the outer hull)?
Actually this may be just the way to go. As stated, I recall I had difficulties with this trailer unless the front (beds) were raised all the way high, and the rear lowered down all the way. She just didn't seem want to enter, sit, ride or trailer as well.
As for painting under the bunks... I have to contact a few guys, or simply check the archive. I know we discussed this earlier this year. I *think* Paul said he simply jacked the stern up at the transom a few inches... but that causes me (in my admitted ignorance) to worry about the stress then applied to the (what would be on a normal ship) 'keel' area of the hull.
My nightmare is a cracked hull!
