Thanks for all your advice, folks.
Today I'm going out on my new (1992) Santana 2023A. Everything you suggested I check out checked out, and we're off to the metaphorical races.
As soon as I sell my "old" boat (San Juan 24 - if you're interested), I'll be re-doing this one with a 130% (instead of an 80%). Can I assume that the snooth "stripe" in the deck texturing is where the track would go for the jib car?
The original owner of this boat (I'm the third, the second only sailed her for two years and it's been sitting for two more) flew a J-24 chute, hanking down the main (I'll add some hardware and use the backstay for that). Anyone else flying a chute on this boat for which it isn't intended? Want to lend advice?
Finally, where do I look for the hull number (when I replace the lime-green main)?
