Six feet tall. I don't even like sleeping in the v berth by myself. It is very uncomfortable not being able to move my legs. I tried sleeping with my head in the front, but that was claustrophobic. Plus, I kept bumping my noggin.
I completed the new berth. I fashioned two plywood boards to fit between the bunks in the main cabin. I can position myself from port to starboard. The boards rest on the wood on each bunk. The cushions press against the boards to keep them in place. The step just happens to be the right height to provide center support. I placed a folding board upright on the floor for additional center support. The boards stow easily and neatly in the head area.
