Really a production of 180 is not bad, Schock has made boats in fewer numbers then that and made a dollar or two. I actually heard the opposite, it was the boat that saved the company.
They were able to make them in enough qty, at the right time with materials on hand, to bounce back from a major production mistake some sort, with a electric runabout thing that they lost alot of money on during a economic downturn.
The thing is if they had not had the ballast issue it would probably still be in production.
Also it was supposed the last boat the founder of the company had a hand in at least it is what I heard 2nd and 3rd hand.
