You mentioned having to wait for the pictures to be returned. You should look into a digital camera. From there you can get the pictures as fast as it takes to download them. (Quickly done.) There are a few free graphics programs that will let you modify the picture itself and to make it relitively small so it loads well. Two of them follow. Irfanview, (http://www.irfanview.net/), is one. Picasa2, (http://www.picasa2.com/), is another. As for cameras, most of the modern point-and-shoot cameras are real good.
