How about both? A roller boomed main can be lowered with lazy jacks instead of using the roller. But a regular boomed main can only be lowered by one method. So, why not simply add lazy jacks to the existing system. Then you can used whatever method you feel like for whatever circumstance you are faced with?

When it comes to trailering, the lazy jacks become an extra hassle.
