Hadn't thought of using the 12v power pack. Great idea!
As far as my power winch mastraising, it's just an "A" frame across the mast with the winch attached to the trailer post down front. I run the winch cable up through my anchor roller and connect it to the "A" frame.
I did extend the control cables on the winch controls so I could operate the winch and still have contact with the mast to handle any sideway sway. It's still spooky because the Laguna 26 with a furled foresail is rather unwieldy.
As such, I don't do much mast lifting and lowering, and consequently I don't have any good pics. Sorry. The only pic that is even close to showing anything was at night, and the winch is just out of sight.
