Seth,

Yep, still hangin out here now and then.

This is a fairly standard setup for backstay tensioning. It gives finer control, better mechanical advantage, and spreads the load.

When I use this setup, I do not notice any significant mast bend (maybe my lowers are tighter) but it definitely helps keep the forestay tensioned and helps support the mast in heavier weather.

There are tangs mounted to the stanchion-base bolts that the triangle attaches to.
