Actually, I was (Gary, 2023, Milwaukee) I currently use the "preset method" also. I just leave it tied off. My sons boat that we race as well as the others in the fleet use the 5:1 internal one in the Harken diagram except that point "b" is held on a 1/4" bolt through the boom. He likes the 2023 because there is nothing to adjust and you can only "kick back and chill". I would like to come up with somthing that would work when roller reefed if there was a grommet in the leach say between each batten. Bob
