Unless you never put her on the windward side.
I have one that's about an INCH off 'true', maybe a hair more. And, while I'm ok with it working fine at that (until I take time to get to it), I still don't even like that.
But if you think your boat really IS worth only $1,500... hell, I couln't replace the mast for that, doubt you could, either.
Point being is this: would you really want to scrap the boat simply because you didn't want to buy a new mast? Secondly, think it through. Insurance on your boat (assuming you can actually get any), might cost you a whopping, what... $50.00 PER YEAR?!
Hey, I'd sail a lot more comfortable with the $50 insurance, than without. Either way, I like your boat.
