That's one reason I bought the 2023, it's size makes it easy to outfit. You truly don't need Harken quality it's just a nice web site for rigging idea's. On a racing boat where equipment is undersized for weight and overloaded most of the time the last thing you want is equipment failure or poor performance. My current 2023 outhaul runs from an eye on the end of the boom to the clew back to the eye (making it 2:1) the ties off to itself. That's enough, a 4:1 would make adjustment possible even under load with a little luff. The idea for using it when reefed would be to use a pre made "jumper" so you could roll in the reef, undo the outhaul from the clew, hook it to the jumper, hook the jumper to the reinforced eyelet on the leach and it would pull both out and down when re tensioned. I'm undecided yet weather to make the clew end of the jumper a loop that would go around the boom through the clew back down to the loop and back to the outhaul (another 2:1)or just put a heavy velcro loop around the boom near the new clew and run the jumper through it.
