(Paul Germain, Santana 2023 C, Fresno) like you, I prefer the open cockpit. While sailing with Rudy last year, I quickly got used to 'stepping over' his rig. Once used to it, didn't seem like that big a deal. Also, saw a 2023 with the delux stern rail, such as you have. Rudy didn't know the owner, just knew where it was moored, and showed it to me. Mu inital impression was that it would be to 'cumbersome' of a thing that I'd want on Sushi. However, I suspect that it's the same as the mainsheet traveler... you would quickly adapt and get used to it, then prefer it because it became what you were used to. Either way, I'm sure they're both nice additions. Gary
