SIMRAD TP10 AUTO-PILOT: another 'aside'

Also, for those that voiced an interest. While I'm sure it's been covered before in the archives, the auto pilot is plain, down-right awesome. I mean, I sail solo a lot and, in heavier air, I hate falling off the wind while hoisting the main, then the resultant struggle (to get things right, in order to then coninue/finish setting the main, or, conversely, furling the main sail).

To have the ability to simply point straight into the wind, have the auto pilot MAINTAIN that course until I'm done up forward... pretty damned sweet.

Pretty darned nice for lots of other things, too, like the age old 'over-the-transom' lean, etc. However, I really like it for, as stated above, the setting/furling of the main, SOLO, in moderate to heavy air.

Nice piece of equipement, I give it a solid thumbs up!

Gary
