Truth is, it was a toss up for me. However, several factors made it a non-issue, easy for me to go with the 2023A model, regardless of the larger cabin of the 2023C.
First of all, at 6'3", I don't care, NEITHER has the space for me, for comfort. Secondly, that smaller cockpit of the 'C' I thought...er, actually, let me re-phrase that: the larger cockpit of the 'A' is quite awesome. Eight (8) feet of clear cockpit is very nice. Lastly, I do not anchor and nap, sleep, whatever. I spend BETTER than 99% of my time on the boat IN THE COCKPIT. And if there's wind, I don't stop.
There are a lot of reasons I went with the A over the C model. These, above, just were some of the bigger ones to make my thoughts clearer.
But, just as true, there is that 1% of the time, perhaps less, that I could appreciate the 'C's cabin.
I sleep in the cabin. Don't do anything else in it. Or, sleep in the cockpit or, like on an extended cruise in Canada, I run her up on a sand beach, anchor, whatever, maybe put up the pup tent.
But I don't 'hang' in the cabin. Now, if my wife WAS in to sailing, I'd have probably gotten the 'C' model.
But no matter your preferences they're both DAMNED nice!
