If you look at the 1st "tri-set" picture on my home page web site, that was in 25 to 35 knot winds. It doesn't look like it because the high winds were about deck height off the water. You can really fly without the wave action holding you back!
You guy's mentioned the owners manual. I've got it but just found out that the link it for the old web address. When I get to my older computer, (that one has the html program on it.), I'll fix it.
Reading one of the posts, I can't see doing a wing & wing in 30 + winds and rounding up several times. Once maybe twice should be enough! When my sail flopped over, I almost did a 180 on the spot! After changing my pants, (kidding), I went at it again. When either sail swings over it a mild "PoP" happens and I rounded up again. (Well that could have been the boom swinging over!)
In my opinion, in anything over 20 knots of wind, people are nuts to not have some type of reefing on the main and possibably the jib!
Look at it this way. Even with a three foot reef on the main, you'll still be able to max out your hull speed plus it's allot safer!
