In Response To: stock mast (dan)

To be honest I would go with a little heavier mast section if I was going to replace mine. I'm upgrading to a hound for the forestay, heavier spreaders, 5/32 lowers and a back stay (for down wind work) in hopes of keeping mine standing in the big stuff. I did get a pfd file from a post here a page back with an invoice from Dwyer Mast Company this year that's for $1962.00 for a complete replacement from hinge step to masthead. If your a brave man there are enough broken OE masts around that you could sleeve a few feet more on the bottom of yours and just lengthen the shrouds. Performance Cats supplied Schock for some of the original masts. Bob Frak S/V Alegira
