The block placement just aft of the shrouds works fine for the 110 stock jib. I would think it would work for a partially reefed 135 of the same depth.
I only have the one track and move the block as far back as possible for the genny. I think the track placement on my boat would be fine for a 135, but isn't far enough back for my larger sail that measures somewhere near 165, hence the snatch block arrangement. With it I can pull the genny inside the life line. The sail shape would be better if the snatch block were mounted nearer the deck at that time, but the arrangement I have avoids me having to add additional hardware to the deck.
Poor sail shape on my large genoa, when reefed, is due to it not having a luff tape so it gets baggy in the middle when reefed much.
I use the winches when the wind gets up as it takes load off the cam cleat. I seldom use the winch handles except when I am really trying to crank the sail in tight. My crew uses them more than I do.
I think my boat is more set up for cruising than racing, but I always like to get the sails set as well as I can.
