From the link on George's site, note the different positions of the base of the bimini support.

Clearly, Ray has mounted the track to the deck so that it can be extended back past the end of the cabin (which would be the limit for a cabin "side mount." Note that the 2023C cockpit is not as long as the 2023A.
It appears to me that even in the forward position, Ray's bimini would interfere with sheeting to my traveler.
Ray posts regularly on the main trailer sailor forum. His web site (http://seaweed.thebilge.com/) gives his e-mail as: rlchenry@mindspring.com
The following is how Ray Henry's site describes the images (the Overton's part numbers are no longer good). Seth
"This was pretty straighforward. I used a 36" high, 73-78" wide, and 6 feet long right from Overton's (8003346541). It was their stock part number 21864. Its too new to have tried it yet, but it looks like I'll be able to sail with it up (in the forward-most track position).
"I put an 18 inch track in on the side deck (right up next to the coaming) so that I could put it in two different positions.
"In the first position, it is all the way forward on the track and bumps up against the pop top when it is up also. Note the height match!
"The two pictures show the extreme forward and extreme aft positions on the sliding track. This tells you about where the track is installed.
"In either position, the bimini either lays back (lands right at the end of the cockpit seats) perfectly flat. Or it lays forward and has plenty of room to allow the full use of the jibsheets, etc.
"I couldn't ask for a better match for a catalog part with no modifications! "
