Hello Blake The luff pocket on my new jib is 1 1/2" from the very front edge to the stitching. My old sail is on the boat under the shrink wrap so I can't measure it. I measured the pocket on one of my son's hanked on jib's for his Ensign (22') and it's 3/4". My forestay is also on the boat, in the old sail, so I can't measure the size of the eye. You could ask a rigging shop about using one of the new high tech cordage as a forestay. You could use a fish wire to pull it through and splice in a thimble to prevent chafe. Or remove the furling gear, put on a jib halyard, get a forestay made and use a hanked on jib. The forestay would need to be the length of the old one plus the eye to eye measurement of the furler. Still another option is to add a halyard, use the old forestay with the furler in place and a hanked on jib and not use the roller furling option. Bob Frak S/Y Alegira
