not sure how effectively I could direct the hose to specific points of interest, especially in and around the compression post base mounts. Probably need at least a half dozen holes drilled.
The other factor I think of, is... OK, say I see my tank is in definate need of glassing. Bummer! Great tool, though! But, of course, I'm now out a couple of hundred dollars just to find out I need to do the tank. That, before expending money to get supplies to do the tank!
So, thinking it through, you're:
A.) out a couple hundred dollars even if you find out your tank has already been glassed (as I'm fairly positive mine has been). Plug that little hole, give thanks... but still out a couple hundred.
B.) hey, you now KNOW you ned to repair the tank. Unfortunately, you've just spent a couple hundred dollars that you COULD have used for the tank repair materials.
Don't get me wrong, great tool, great thought. Be a damned sight better if I/we could just BORROW (or have a friend with) a borescope.
