As sturdy as it is, there is still some leakage into the tank. As I think about it know, I suppose a large rubber stopper could be fitted just above the reinforced rubber washer - where the aluminum funnel is. I don't know how well the stopper would hold up to salt water. This would create a tight fit. Note that I used the heavy duty version of the De Sta Co toggle clamp on top of the tank housing. A thick piece of stainless steel rod is connected to this, which should be firm enough to push a large rubber stopper back out of the drain hole.
I put some thought into creating a pump out system, but never got around to doing it. Here is what I came up with:
Instead of using a typical electric pump, use a heavy duty stainless steal automatic bilge pump. Install a separate cutoff switch for use when you want water in the tank. Splice the tube from the pump into the sink drain tube. This way, you can utilize the existing drainage outlet in the hull.
