Although the Ida Sailor kick up rudder is bullet-proof, I should have waited for their later version which is measurably lighter than their original. This makes my stern a bit heavy. It would work well in the ocean though, but the closest one is about 1K miles away! Also, I should have gone ahead and installed a fixed fin/bulb keel when I cut open the floor. (like the 23 Max). Leif Bailey could have cast one in his yard in Newport Beach. Shipping would have been costly though!
