Free flow, in-out. Swam underneath, looking for what I figured was holes cut through each side of the CB. Finally located it forward. Appears to be a vertical rectangle through the forepart of the trunk, front dead center. When I pull her out, I doubt if it takes 2 minutes to dump everything out, although I then have the 'trickles' for a while. Gushes out so fast from underneath, usually freaks the fishermen out. I typically yell something like "Thank God I got here in time after hitting that massive rock!"

Most of you'll recall that I have a quick (shut) valve @ the sink to vent air out the side as she fills. Interestingly, if I forget to close the valve... no big deal. Floats fine (gravity prevents the water from pushing (entering) up into the hose more than a couple of inches. Bothered me that I couldn't close the bottom ingress for a couple of years, but now, wouldn't do without it, can't understand why others don't do the same.

Awesome mod.

Isn't the CB line aft of the water ballast tank (in the air chamber?) -- Todd-2023C-SFBay -- 3/17/08 2:18p.m.

Not a problem. Shut air valve creates a vacuum, preventing major loss. -- Gary, Santana 2023A, Milwaukee -- 3/17/08 2:20p.m.
